The Propspeed team has a passion for the environment and everyone is constantly looking to play a part in protecting it. That is why we are thrilled to announce that last month Jacobsen Holdings, consisting of Propspeed, Tredsafe and Jacobsen, became the 101st signatory to join the Climate Leaders Coalition.
The Climate Leaders Coalition was formed in July 2018 with 60 of New Zealand’s business leaders, recently celebrating its first anniversary on July 24th. The Coalition’s mission is to encourage business leadership and promote action on the issue of climate change. These goals are detailed in a 2019 mission statement; “as signatories to the Climate Leaders Coalition, we are acting on climate change now, to create a future that is low-emission, positive for our businesses and the economy, and inclusive for all New Zealanders.”
By joining the Climate Leaders Coalition, Jacobsen Holdings has committed to:
- Measuring our greenhouse gas footprint and making the data available to the public.
- Adopting targets, grounded in science, to reduce our emissions substantially, helping to contribute to a carbon-neutral New Zealand by 2050.
- Proactively supporting our people and suppliers to reduce their emissions.
As of today, 109 signatories have joined the Coalition, committing to taking action on climate change. Together, the signatories make up 60% of New Zealand’s gross emissions.
