Pink Shirt Day 2019

The Oceanmax team came together on Friday, May 17th, dressed to the nines in pink to show our support for Pink Shirt Day!

On Friday, May 17th the team at Oceanmax went all out to show their support for Pink Shirt Day. Pink Shirt Day originated in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against bullying after a new student was tormented for wearing pink to school. New Zealand began celebrating Pink Shirt Day in 2009, and awareness of the campaign is only growing. Pink Shirt Day is about standing together to put a stop to bullying in all areas of life, including schools, communities, and workplaces.

Our team has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, and we were excited to show our support for this important cause. Everyone came dressed in various shades of pink, and the office was decorated with pink balloons. The team came together for a morning tea of pink cupcakes, and we snapped a picture in front of our pink Propspeed!

We stand together against bullying.
